The arc这条弧
Of the five horizons, this is the one whose timeline has accelerated the most in the past three years. In 2020 the gap between the best advisor a billionaire could afford and the best advisor a teenager in Lagos could afford was vast. In 2026, with frontier LLMs accessible at the price of a textbook, that gap has visibly compressed — and the compression is still in its first innings.
"Wisdom" is the deliberately ambitious word in the table. The author could have written "intelligence" — the technical capacity to solve problems. They could have written "knowledge" — the stock of facts available. They wrote 智慧 (wisdom) because the horizon being pointed at is judgment: the capacity to choose which problems are worth solving and which facts are worth knowing. A civilization can be staggeringly intelligent and yet collectively foolish. The upgrade is not just to the intelligence layer but to the judgment layer above it.
The comprehensive version of this horizon — "全面提升" — refuses to settle for an elite uplift. The lift has to reach every literate human. Whether this is possible depends on three things: that the marginal cost of cognitive assistance keeps falling toward zero; that the assistive systems become trustworthy enough to lean on without losing one's own judgment; and that the institutions training the next generation upgrade fast enough to graduate humans who can co-think with machines rather than only being assisted by them.
